Our Story
At MeowTown, we believe in opportunities—for cats and for people. Inspired by the challenges of our founder’s 27-year-old daughter, MeowTown was established as a nonprofit with the dual mission of creating meaningful employment for individuals with special needs and finding permanent homes for rescue cats.

At MeowTown we provide a warm, home-like setting where adoptable cats can shine. By showcasing their unique personalities outside the shelter, we help visitors connect with them in genuine, lasting ways.

MeowTown is also a place where neurodiverse people are valued as employees and embraced as part of a vibrant community. Here, meaningful work, companionship, and purpose come together—proving that when we welcome those with differences, everyone is enriched.

We also know that time with animals is powerful. The simple act of petting a cat can reduce stress, ease loneliness, and boost mental well-being. When people come to MeowTown, they can pause, breathe, and experience the comfort that a purring companion often provides. Every cuddle, every adoption, and every smile supports our mission: to enhance lives through compassion, friendship, and the healing power of cats. MeowTown is more than a lounge—it’s a community.
